| The investment seeks income exempt from both federal and Alabama state income taxes, without undue risk to principal. The fund normally invests in municipal securities from Alabama, at least 80% of which are municipal bonds rated investment-grade or municipal notes rated within the three highest grades but secured by the full faith and credit of the United States government. It may invest 50% of assets in the securities of a single issuer. The fund seeks a steady flow of income from investment-grade securities with a dollar-weighted average maturity of 10 years or more.
