This segment also provides Open Mobile Exchange service offerings that allow global telecommunications carriers and service providers to connect their customers and subscribers; Roam-in, which allows Wi-Fi providers to leverage their Wi-Fi network with visiting subscribers; Roam-out that allows carriers and telecommunication service providers to provide their subscribers with global Wi-Fi connectivity; and Wi-Fi Exchange, an extensible carrier-grade platform for Wi-Fi authentication and transaction settlements. The companys Managed Network Services segment offers Wi-Fi Cloud Connect, an enterprise managed Wi-Fi offering that provides Wi-Fi network access for standalone PCs, terminals, and handheld devices and tablets; Broadband Connect that offers centralized business-grade high-speed Internet services, installation, and ongoing support; MultiLink Connect and WAN Connect, which are broadband connect products that provide an Internet-based IP VPN service that delivers high-speed wide area networking; and Secure Web Gateway, which provides enterprises the flexibility to apply a centrally-managed secure Web gateway policy. The company sells its services directly through its global sales force and indirectly through reseller and carrier partners. iPass Inc. was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Redwood Shores, California.
