| The investment seeks capital appreciation and protection against inflation; current income is secondary. The fund invests at least 65% of assets in securities of companies primarily involved in mining, processing, fabricating, distributing or otherwise dealing in gold, silver, platinum or other natural resources. It may invest up to 35% of assets in securities of companies that derive a portion of their gross revenues from the businesses mentioned above, in securities of selected growth companies and fixed-income securities.
