| Regency Energy Partners LP engages in the gathering, processing, contract compression, marketing, and transportation of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs). It operates in three business segments: Gathering and Processing, Transportation, and Contract Compression. The Gathering and Processing segment provides wellhead-to-market services to the producers of natural gas, including transporting raw natural gas from the wellhead through gathering systems, processing raw natural gas to separate NGLs from the raw natural gas, and selling or delivering the pipeline-quality natural gas and NGLs to various markets and pipeline systems. The Transportation segment delivers natural gas from northwest Louisiana to markets in northeast Louisiana through the companys 320-mile regency intrastate gas pipeline system. The Contract Compression segment provides turn-key natural gas compression services, as well as designs, sources, owns, insures, installs, operates, services, repairs, and maintains compressors and related equipment for land and water installations. The company provides its services through systems located in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Regency Energy Partners LP was founded in 2003 and is based in Dallas, Texas. |
