As of March 31, 2014, it owned and operated 1,638 funeral homes and 515 cemeteries, of which 283 were combination locations in 43 states, 8 Canadian provinces, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The company was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
