Its products include preconfigured drives, which provide plug-and-play interface for photo kiosks and mini labs; and single board drives that offer interface solutions for print kiosks, photo labs, and other applications requiring digital flash media interface. This segments digital media readers allow photo kiosk makers and others to build digital flash media interface capabilities into their products and provide interface capabilities for memory card formats. In addition, SCM Microsystems provides hardware solutions for secure digital access applications. It serves government contractors and systems integrators, as well as end users and manufacturers of computers, computer components, consumer electronics, and photo processing equipment. The company offers its products through a direct sales and marketing organization, as well as through distributors, value added resellers, systems integrators, resellers, and the Internet. SCM Microsystems was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Ismaning, Germany with additional offices in India, Japan, and the United States. |
