As of January 31, 2013, the companys Sherwin-Williams branded products are sold through a chain of approximately 4,000 company-operated stores and facilities, as well as other brands are sold through mass merchandisers, home centers, independent paint dealers, hardware stores, automotive retailers, and industrial distributors. The company was founded in 1866 and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
