The Healthcare segment offers marketing communication solutions, including Web-based solutions to combine static and variable text, as well as photos and graphics to produce professional brochures, mailers, and other communications; patient information solutions, such as software, as well as the related software support and professional services; patient identification and safety solutions, which use labels used on patient wristbands, pharmacy labels, laboratory labels, and others; and clinical documents and administrative forms. This segment serves acute care providers, ambulatory care providers, payors and managed care, and facilitators of ancillary services. The Business Solutions segment provides customer communications, marketing services, on-demand publishing, and product marking and labeling solutions serving customers in the financial services, commercial, and industrial markets. It offers traditional business forms and secure documents; transactional labels, such as shipping and distribution labels, and related services; and on-demand publishing services. This segment also provides marketing communication solutions that enable its customers in their messaging and sales efforts; functional, decorative, and in-mold labeling solutions; and options for creating, producing, processing, printing, mailing, electronically transmitting, and fulfilling various types of printed or electronic document. In addition, the company offers warehousing and custom-delivery services, professional services and other consulting, and postcontract support services. It sells its products through field-based sales, telesales, strategic partners, and the Web. The Standard Register Company was founded in 1912 and is based in Dayton, Ohio.
