It markets its products to health care providers, including surgical centers, hospitals, managed care providers, health maintenance organizations, group purchasing organizations, and government facilities. The company offers its products primarily under the STAAR, Visian, Collamer, CentraFlow, AquaPort, nanoFLEX, nanoPOINT, Epiphany, and AquaFlow names. It distributes its products through its sales representatives, independent sales representatives, and local distributors worldwide. STAAR Surgical Company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Monrovia, California.
