Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. is engaged in mining, milling, processing, and marketing of copper, gold and molybdenum products in the United States and Canada. The company operates in three segments: Copper-Gold, US Operations Molybdenum, and Canadian Operations Molybdenum. Its principal operating properties include 100% owned in Mt. Milligan mine, an open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator in British Columbia; 100% owned Thompson Creek mine, an open-pit molybdenum mine and concentrator in Idaho; and 75% joint venture interest in the Endako mine, an open-pit molybdenum mine, concentrator, and roaster in British Columbia, as well as the Langeloth metallurgical facility in Pennsylvania. Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. produces molybdenum products, primarily molybdic oxide and ferromolybdenum, as well as high soluble technical oxide, pure molybdenum tri-oxide, and high purity molybdenum disulfide. As of December 31, 2013, its consolidated proven and probable reserves totaled 197.9 million pounds of contained molybdenum in the Thompson Creek Mine and the Endako Mine. The company was formerly known as Blue Pearl Mining Ltd. and changed its name to Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. in May 2007. Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. is headquartered in Littleton, Colorado.
