The companys principal operating properties include the Mount Milligan mine, an open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator in British Columbia; the Thompson Creek mine, an open-pit molybdenum mine and concentrator in Idaho; and the Endako mine, an open-pit molybdenum mine, concentrator, and roaster in British Columbia, as well as the Langeloth metallurgical facility in Pennsylvania. Its molybdenum products comprise molybdic oxide and ferromolybdenum, as well as high soluble technical oxide, pure molybdenum tri-oxide, and high purity molybdenum disulfide. The company also mines for copper, gold, and silver deposits. As of December 31, 2014, it had combined proven and probable estimated mineral reserves of 141.4 million pounds of contained molybdenum. The company was formerly known as Blue Pearl Mining Ltd. and changed its name to Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. in May 2007.
