The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in debt securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities, including mortgage-backed securities issued by agencies such as Fannie Mae or the GNMA. While the fund may invest in securities with any maturity or duration, it maintains an effective duration that is comparable to or less than that of one-year U.S. Treasury bills. |
