The companys principal component product lines include braking equipment and related components; freight car truck components and undercarriage components; draft gears, couplers, and slack adjusters; air compressors and dryers; positive train control equipment and electronically controlled pneumatic braking products; railway electronics, including event recorders, monitoring equipment, and end of train devices; friction products, including brake shoes and pads; rail and bus door assemblies; accessibility lifts and ramps for buses and subway cars; heat exchangers and cooling products for locomotives and power generation equipment; commuter and switcher locomotives; and transit car and locomotive overhauls. Its customers include railroads in North America, as well as in the United Kingdom, Australia, Europe, Asia, and South Africa; manufacturers of transportation equipment, such as locomotives, freight cars, subway vehicles, and buses; lessors of such equipment; and passenger transit authorities, primarily in North America. The company was founded in 1869 and is headquartered in Wilmerding, Pennsylvania. |
