The Life Sciences division engages in the development of a manufacturing process related to a test-stage active pharmaceutical ingredient, designed to be useful in the treatment of companion animals. Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. also provides contract research services to develop intellectual property and/or new products and technology. The company was formerly known as Altair International Inc. and changed its name to Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. in July 2002.
