Patrick Kelly, CFA is Executive Vice President, Portfolio Manager of the Alger Capital Appreciation and Alger Spectra strategies, and Co-Portfolio Manager of Alger Dynamic Opportunities Fund. He joined Alger in 1999 and has 14 years of investment experience. Previously, Patrick was an investment banking analyst with SG Cowen. He began his career at Alger as a Research Associate and completed Alger’s in-house analyst training program. In early 2001, Patrick was promoted to Associate Analyst and Assistant Vice President, and in September of 2001 he was promoted to Senior Analyst. As a Senior Analyst, he was responsible for the Technology sector. Patrick was named Manager of Alger’s multi-cap portfolios in September 2004. He graduated with honors from Georgetown University. Patrick is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.

Fund Summary 
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market circumstances, the fund invests at least 85% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of companies of any market capitalization that the advisor believes demonstrate promising growth potential. It can leverage, that is, borrow money to buy additional securities. By borrowing money, the fund has the potential to increase its returns if the increase in the value of the securities purchased exceeds the cost of borrowing, including interest paid on the money borrowed. The fund can also invest in derivative instruments.
