The company operates in three segments: Long-Term Business, Fund Management, and General Insurance and Health. The Fund Management segment invests policyholders and shareholders funds; provides investment management services for institutional pension fund mandates; and manages a range of retail investment products, including investment funds, unit trusts, open-ended investment companies, and ISAs. This segment serves third-party financial institutions, pension funds, public sector organizations, investment professionals, and private investors. The General Insurance and Health segment provides insurance cover to individuals and small and medium-sized businesses for risks associated with motor vehicles; property and liability, such as employers liability and professional indemnity liability; and medical expenses. The company also provides a range of creditor insurance products. In addition, it offers various banking products and services. The company has a strategic alliance with Emirates NBD PJSC and National General Insurance Co. PJSC to offer a range of long-term savings, investments, life insurance, and medical protection solutions to the bank's customers. The company was formerly known as CGNU plc and changed its name to Aviva plc in 2002. Aviva plc was incorporated in 1990 and is based in London, the United Kingdom. |
