In addition, the company offers electronic banking, cash management, and other transaction and reporting services; interest rate swap contracts to commercial customers; and wealth management services including trust, financial planning, and investment services, as well as operates as an agent for lines of property and casualty, life, disability, and health insurance. As of December 31, 2008, it operated 39 banking offices and 10 insurance offices. The company was founded in 1846 and is headquartered in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. |
