| Bimini Capital Management, Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT), invests in residential mortgage-backed securities (MBS) in the United States. Its MBS portfolio consists of pass-through certificates, collateralized mortgage obligations, and agency MBS derivatives. The company has elected to be taxed as REIT under the Internal Revenue Code.
