| Cereplast, Inc. develops and commercializes bio-based resins in the United States. Its product includes Cereplast Compostables resins, which is substitutes for petroleum-based plastics targeting primarily single-use disposables and packaging applications. The company also offers Cereplast Hybrid Resins that replace up to 50% of the petroleum content in conventional plastics with bio-based materials, such as industrial starches sourced from plants for use in a range of markets, including automotive, consumer goods, consumer electronics, medical, packaging, and construction.
