| The investment seeks current income exempt from federal income tax consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal obligations that are exempt from federal income tax and the Alternative Minimum Tax. The average weighted effective maturity is within 30% of the duration of the Lehman 3-15 Year Blend index. It invests in securities that are rated investment grade at the time of purchase by at least one nationally recognized statistical rating organization, or which are unrated but deemed by the Adviser to be of comparable quality to investment grade securities at the time of purchase. |
