| CPS Technologies Corporation provides advanced material solutions to the electronics, power generation, automotive, and other industries. It offers metal matrix composites that are a combination of metal and ceramic to electronics end markets, including integrated circuits and circuit boards used in Internet switches and routers; and motor controllers used in high-speed electric trains, subway cars, and wind turbines. The company also assembles housings and packages for hybrid circuits. Its housings and packages include components made of metal-matrix composites, aluminum, and copper-tungsten. In addition, the company offers components for structural applications, including robotic arms for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, components for specialty internal combustion engines, and hybrid armor. Further, it offers lids and heat spreaders for microprocessors, application-specific integrated circuits, and other integrated circuits; substrates and heat spreaders for wireless communications infrastructure applications; and substrates, baseplates, and heat spreaders on which power semiconductors are mounted to produce modules for motor control. The companys products are used in mass transit, hybrid and electric cars, and wind-turbines for electricity generation, as well as in routers and switches for the Internet that in turn allows telecommuting. It sells its products primarily to microelectronics systems houses in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The company was formerly known as Ceramics Process Systems Corporation and changed its name to CPS Technologies Corporation in March 2007. CPS Technologies Corporation was incorporated in 1984 and is based in Norton, Massachusetts. |
