The investment seeks total return with equal emphasis on capital appreciation and current income. The fund invests primarily at least 80%, and normally substantially all of assets in equity securities of real-estate companies. These securities may consist of common stocks, rights or warrants to purchase common stocks, convertible securities, and preferred stocks. It may invest without limit in shares of real-estate investment trusts. The fund may invest up to 20% of assets in securities of foreign real-estate companies. It is nondiversified.
