| CEL-SCI Corporation engages in the research and development of drugs and vaccines used in the treatment of cancer. The companys lead product includes Multikine, which is under development for the treatment of cancer and is cleared for a Phase III clinical trial in advanced primary head and neck cancer patients. Multikine is a patented immunotherapeutic agent consisting of a mixture of naturally occurring cytokines, including interleukins, interferons, chemokines, and colony-stimulating factors. The company also develops CEL-1000, which is derived from a pre-clinical technology called Ligand Epitope Antigen Presentation System for protection for animals against avian flu, herpes, malaria, viral encephalitis, smallpox, vaccinia, and cancer, as well as CEL-2000, for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
