| Enterprise GP Holdings L.P. engages in the midstream energy industry and related businesses. Its Enterprise Products Partners segment develops pipeline and other midstream energy infrastructure for the producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, and certain petrochemicals in the continental United States and Gulf of Mexico. It involves in natural gas processing and related NGL marketing activities; and operates NGL pipelines and related product storage facilities, import and export terminals, onshore natural gas pipeline systems, underground natural gas storage caverns, and multi-purpose offshore hub platforms. It also operates two propylene fractionation facilities, an isomerization complex, an octane additive production facility, offshore natural gas pipelines, natural gas marketing activities, offshore crude oil pipeline systems, and petrochemical pipeline systems. The companys TEPPCO segment owns and operates refined products, liquefied petroleum gas, petrochemical, and NGL pipelines; natural gas gathering systems; and a marine transportation system. It also engages in the transportation, storage, gathering, terminalling, and marketing of crude oil; and the distribution of lubrication oils and special chemicals, as well as offers marine services, including transporting refined products, crude oil, condensate, and NGLs through tow boats and tank barges on the United States inland waterway system; and provides offshore support services for well-testing and pipelines in the Gulf of Mexico. Enterprise GPs Energy Transfer Equity segment owns and operates natural gas gathering pipelines, processing plants, treating facilities, and conditioning facilities; and engages in the intrastate transportation and storage of natural gas, as well as retails propane. EPE Holdings, LLC serves as the general partner of the company. Enterprise GP Holdings was founded in 2005 and is based in Houston, Texas. |
