| ERF Wireless, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides wireless broadband services and basic communications services to residential, oil and gas, and bank customers primarily in underserved, rural, and suburban parts of the United States. It operates in three segments, Enterprise Network Services, Wireless Bundled Services, and Wireless Messaging Services. The Enterprise Network Services segment provides turnkey design and implementation service in the area of secure wireless broadband networks for regional banks. The Wireless Bundled Services segment offers wireless broadband products and services, including Internet, voice, and data to serve private entities, cities, municipalities, and the general public in rural markets. It also provides wireless connectivity to rural oil and gas locations primarily via mobile broadband trailers. The Wireless Messaging Services segment engages in the provision of wireless broadband and fiber-to-the-home system network design and implementation services; manufactures paging equipment; repairs and maintains paging infrastructure equipment; and supplies high-power infrastructure equipment to the wireless messaging industry, as well as owns and operates a wide-area messaging service. The company was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in League City, Texas. |
