| Helios Multi-Sector High Income Fund, Inc. is a closed ended fixed income mutual fund launched and managed by Brookfield Investment Management Inc. The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It makes its investments in below investment grade debt securities including corporate bonds, mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, convertible debt securities, distressed securities, including securities of companies in bankruptcy reorganization proceedings or otherwise in the process of debt restructuring, U.S. government and municipal obligations and foreign government obligations which are rated Ba1 or lower by Moody's Investors Service, Inc., BB+ or lower by Standard & Poor's Ratings Group to create its portfolio. The fund employs fundamental analysis with a bottom-up approach to make its investments. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the Lehman Brothers Ba U.S. High Yield Index. The fund was formerly known as RMK Multi-Sector High Income Fund, Inc. Helios Multi-Sector High Income Fund, Inc. was formed on January 19, 2006 and is domicile din the United States. |
