The company operates through three segments: Detection, Surveillance, and Solutions. The Detection segment develops products, and conducts research and development in the areas of chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear, and explosives detection. Its products include Fido explosive detectors, IdentiFINDER and Interceptor radiation detectors, AirSentinel bioaerosol sensors, and cheMSense 600 line of products. The Surveillance segment provides products and services for perimeter security and wide area surveillance. Its products include Cerberus and SkyWatch towers; thermal imaging cameras, including DefendIR and Orion; and STS line of radar products. The Solutions segment integrates the companys technologies and products to provide single source solutions that address various customer specific security and surveillance needs. It designs, develops, and deploys security operating systems and video networking systems. This segment offers StarWatch software security operating systems, Cameleon video integration and command software, and PureActiv surveillance systems, as well as CohesionIF, an adaptable sensors integration framework; and SceneAnalyzer designed to transform basic surveillance cameras into intelligent sensors using advanced digital signal processing. The company sells its products through direct sales force, sales representatives, value added resellers, and system integrators to federal, state, and local government customers, as well as to the U.S. military, foreign militaries, and private sector businesses in the United States and internationally.
