The companys RFID products comprise RFID tags, readers, software, and related equipment to track pallets, cartons, containers, and individual items. The company also offers various services, including design, implementation, and deployment of AIDC systems for clients; and technical support and repair services, as well as provides education services comprising AIDC training services. Intermec sells its products for various field mobility and in-premise applications, such as asset visibility and management; direct store delivery; maintenance, repair, and overhaul; in-transit visibility; and routing and navigation. It markets its products through direct sales and service organizations, two-tier distributors, and resellers, as well as through independent hardware, software, and service vendors. The company was formerly known as UNOVA, Inc. Intermec was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Everett, Washington. |
