| The investment seeks total return, consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invest at least 80% of assets in bonds including government bonds, corporate bonds, convertible bonds, mortgage-backed securities, and zero-coupon bonds. It may invest at least 65% of assets in investment-grade debt securities and will maintain an average-weighted effective maturity of five to ten years.
