Further, it provides information systems and telecommunication, engineering, and management consulting services; Epoxy molding compounds for semiconductor encapsulation; electrical insulators, flexible printed circuit sheet materials, synthetic resin molded parts, and LED lighting systems. The company was formerly known as Kyoto Ceramic Kabushiki Kaisha and changed its name to Kyocera Corporation in 1982. Kyocera Corporation was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.
