The Asset Management segment operates as an investment manager. It primarily serves banks, insurance companies, funds-of-hedge funds, corporate and public pension plan sponsors, trusts, endowments, and private clients. The company was formerly known as Knight Trading Group, Inc. and changed its name to Knight Capital Group, Inc. in May 2005.
