The companys oral spray formulations under development comprise Zensana for nausea and vomiting; Sumatriptan (NVD-201) for migraine remedy; Midazolam oral spray (NVD-301) that is used for sedation during diagnostic, therapeutic, and endoscopic procedures; Sildenafil oral spray (NVD-401), a PDE-5 inhibitor for the treatment of erectile dysfunction; and Fentanyl oral spray (NVD-501), an opiate for the treatment of break through pain in cancer patients. It has strategic license agreements with Hana Biosciences, Inc. to market ondansetron oral spray in the United States and Canada; Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. for marketing NitroMist in the United States and Canada; Manhattan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for the companys oral spray technology to deliver propofol for pre-procedural sedation; Velcera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for marketed veterinary drugs; and BioAlliance Pharma SA for the European rights for Ondansetron oral spray. The company was formerly known as Flemington Pharmaceutical Corporation and changed its name to NovaDel Pharma Inc. in October 2002.
