| OSG America L.P. operates the U.S. flag product carriers and barges for transporting refined petroleum products. Its vessels transport refined petroleum products in the United States from the Gulf Coast to Florida, Atlantic Coast, and the West Coast; the West Coast to Southern California and Oregon; and the East Coast to New England. As of March 12, 2009, the company had a fleet of 22 handysize product carriers and tug barges. It also has ownership interest in a joint venture, which transports crude oil from Alaska to the continental United States using a fleet of 4 crude oil tankers with an aggregate carrying capacity of 5.5 million barrels. In addition, the company provides lightering services on the East Coast by transporting crude oil from crude-oil tankers to refineries in the Delaware River Basin. OSG America LLC operates as the general partner of OSG America L.P. The company was founded in 2007 and is based in Tampa, Florida. |
