| The investment seeks a combination of high current income and capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in common stock and convertible securities of large and medium size domestic value companies with market capitalizations in excess of $12 billion. It also invests in debt securities, which are primarily investment grade, including U.S. government securities and corporate bonds and notes issued by large and medium size domestic companies.
