The company operates through two segments, Products and Services. The Products segment offers various products, including battery plants that convert and distributes power to run network equipment, while storing energy in rechargeable batteries to be used in the event of an alternating current input failure; rectifiers, which convert incoming AC power to DC power; and power distribution equipment that distributes and limits power from a centralized power plant to various loads or end uses. This segment also provides converter plants that convert one voltage of DC power to another voltage of DC power; inverter plants that convert voltage from DC to AC power suitable for end-use applications, as well as provides continuous AC power in the event of a utility interruption; and monitoring products monitor and report the performance of power systems and office environmental conditions. The Services segment offers various services, such as capital deployment engineering and installation services; project management services, including multi-site network build plans, maintenance, and emergency support services; after market services, which include cell site/remote terminal, central office/main switching office, and depot and field repair services of DC power equipment; and engineering, installation, and technical field personnel staffing services within wireline and wireless telecommunication sector. The company provides its products and services to regional bell operating companies, independent telephone operators, inter-exchange carriers, competitive access providers, original equipment manufacturers, wireless carriers, cable television, and government through direct sales force, value added resellers, and manufactures representatives.
