It engages in the areas of polymer chemistry formulation and coating technology. The company designs and produces printed circuit materials used to fabricate complex multilayer printed circuit boards and other electronic interconnection systems, including multilayer back-planes, wireless packages, high-speed/low-loss multilayers, and high density interconnects. Its products are used in electronic equipment to direct, sequence, and control electronic signals between semiconductor devices, such as microprocessors, and memory and logic devices; passive components, including resistors and capacitors; and connection devices, such as infra-red couplings, fiber optics, and surface mount connectors. The companys digital printed circuit materials are also used in high speed routers and servers, storage area networks, supercomputers, laptops, satellite switching equipment, cellular telephones and transceivers, wireless personal digital assistants, and wireless local area networks. In addition, its radio frequency printed circuit materials are used primarily for military avionics, antennas for cellular telephone base stations, automotive adaptive cruise control systems, and avionic communications equipment. The company serves independent printed circuit board fabricators, electronic manufacturing service companies, electronic contract manufacturers, and major electronic original equipment manufacturers. It markets and sells its products under the Nelco, Nelcote, and Nova names. Park Electrochemical Corp. was founded in 1954 and is based in Melville, New York. |
