| Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railroad, a real estate investment trust (REIT), owns and leases a railroad running from western Pennsylvania to the eastern section of Ohio. Its property consists of 112 miles of main line road extending from Pittsburgh Junction, Ohio, through parts of West Virginia, to Connellsville, Pennsylvania; and approximately 20 miles of branch lines and real estate used in the operation of the railroad. The company qualifies as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code. As a REIT, it would not be subject to federal corporate income taxes, if it distributes at least 90% of its taxable income to its stockholders.
