The Wireline segment offers voice and data communications, including domestic and international data communications using various protocols, such as multiprotocol label switching technologies, Internet protocol, managed network services, voice over Internet protocol, session initiated protocol, and traditional voice services, as well as offers wholesale voice local and long distance, and digital voice services. This segment markets and sells its services primarily through direct sales representatives. The company offers its wireless and wireline voice and data transmission services under the Sprint, Nextel, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and Assurance Wireless brands.
