| The investment seeks to maximize current tax-exempt income. The fund generally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal bonds exempt from both regular federal income tax and federal AMT, either directly or indirectly through ETFs and closed-end funds whose underlying investments in municipal bonds also are exempt from both federal income tax and federal AMT. It may invest up to 20% of net assets in other securities, including preferred stocks and taxable bonds, equity and/or mortgage REITs, and open-end mutual funds that employ hedging strategies. |
