The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in a broad range of high-yield, high-risk debt securities rated below the top four long-term rating categories by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization. It may invest up to 10% of net assets in securities that are in default at the time of purchase. The debt securities are primarily domestic securities, but may also include dollar denominated foreign securities.
