Fund Summary

The investment seeks high interest income largely exempt from federal income taxes as is consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in investment-grade, tax-exempt municipal securities. It may invest up to 20% of assets (and up to 50% for temporary defensive purposes) in taxable debt such as U.S. government-guaranteed securities, high-quality corporate debt, commercial paper rated in one of the top two categories, certificates of deposit and repurchase agreements secured by U.S. Government securities.
