The investment seeks total return consistent with prudent investment management. The fund invests primarily in debt securities denominated in various currencies, including U.S. dollars. Normally, its debt obligations will consist substantially of investment-grade bonds (rated Baa3 or better or BBB- or better by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization or unrated but determined to be of equivalent quality by the fund's investment adviser).
