The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in large-cap companies whose market capitalization is within the range of the Russell 1000 index as of June 30 of each year. It primarily invests in equity securities, which may include common stocks, preferred stocks, or other securities convertible into common stock. The fund typically invests most of assets in securities of U.S. companies but may also invest up to 15% of assets in foreign securities.
