The investment seeks a high level of current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests primarily in securities issued by the U.S. government and its agencies or instrumentalities. It currently invests only in securities that are guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, and repurchase agreements collateralized by such securities. The fund normally invests 65% of total assets in GNMA securities. It also invests in obligations issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government or by its agencies or instrumentalities with maturities generally in the range of 2 to 30 years. View More
