    Foreigners buy fewest 10-year notes at auction since 2014

    * Fund managers buy least amount of 10-year debt since March * Foreigners purchase most 30-year bond supply since Oct 2015 (Recast lead, add background) NEW YORK, July 22 (Reuters) - Overseas investors purchased $2.734 billion of U.S. 10-year Treasury notes at an auction in early July, which was the lowest amount since October 2014, according to the U.S. Treasury Department's auction allotment data released on Friday. Large investment managers bought $9.318 billion at the 10-year auction held on July 12, which was their fewest since March and lower than the $10.380 billion they purchased in June. The ratio of bids to the $20 billion of 10-year notes offered was 2.33, down from 2.70 at the prior 10-year auction in June and the lowest since March 2009 when it was 2.14.
