Dual-camera smartphones are set to boom and that help boost the shares of Taiwan-listed Largen Precision (3008.TW) and Hong Kong-listed Sunny Optical Technology (2382.HK). Multi-cameras can provide good 3D image mapping and modelling, by capturing multiple images and tracking objects’ motions, which could extend camera functions to augmented reality (AR), in addition to enhanced image quality. The broker rates Largan a buy and upped its share price target to TWD4,200 from TWD3,700, while Sunny Optical - rated as outperform - had its target lifted to HKD34 a share from HKD29 a share.
