    BlackRock: Too Big To Grow?

    Is BlackRock (BLK) too big to grow? Craig Siegenthaler and his team over at Credit Suisse weighed in on that questions in a research note published Monday that took a deeper dive into the fourth quarter finical results the firm unveiled Friday. One of the criticisms facing the company is that with $5 trillion in assets under management, BlackRock “is too big to grow despite generating around the highest OG rates over the last few years.” Siegenthaler and team reiterated their outperform rating on the stock, projecting a pickup in long-term net flows and money market fund flows and the growing popularity of passive ETFs.

    Lies or banter? Ex-Jefferies trader's fate lies with jury

    The fate of a former Jefferies Group bond trader being tried a second time for defrauding clients now lies with a federal jury, after prosecutors and the defense battled over whether he told his customers "lies" or merely employed sales "banter" they knew to shrug off. Jesse Litvak, 42, was "motivated by greed," and it was no excuse that other traders might have similarly deceived their own customers, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Francis told jurors in New Haven, Connecticut in his closing argument on Friday.
