  • Can someone please explain why CNQ is dropping so much today--May 4th?
  • They sold stock and borrowed $800 million last year, have $11 billion in other debt and now they want to spend $7 billion to buy Shell's oil sands property. With what? They claim their cost for their oil is $25/bbl., but how come they still lost money?
  • CNQ /SUNCOR FAT MARGINS AT 50-55. Dont get conned by cramer - says CNQ and others in oils sands will be out of business soon. said that producers cant make money at 50 or lower (maybe greenfield project - even then)

Keystone XL is wanted/needed by US to feed the US refiners, they actually want/need the 3M barrels a day. Key to NAM energy independence

cnq and suncor costs are well below 50.

Just because shell and other super majors selling their stakes in oil sands because they sat on em and did nothing, its a small asset for them with work and environmental questions at home

does not mean the best oil sands operators wont make money and be clean. Price CNQ got on shell says they will.

Cramer comparing oil sands to coal? Get a life. Like fracking is so great for the environment? If coal is coming back, what the heck is wrong with oil sands?
  • I work at CNRL, I am holding onto my stock for 50.00. We are doing better than most know on here and we will be doing even better in June this year when our latest phase is completed bringing production up and costs down even more. e have great faith in our leadership team as they make very smart decisions and we support them in the field as much as possible.
  • cant wait for the refineries to start drawing down the oil reserves in states this coming week to get ready for summer, about time we need the oil to go up lol. Last week they under produced gasoline, here is to a better week!!!
  • doesnt anyone realize the rig count is up and the wells are not producing because the companies have a certain amount of time to drill before their lease runs out LMFAO, so they are drilling wells and capping them for future production is all thats haoppening, good grief baahahahahahaahahah the market sure is funny, but I am an Oilman this is normal #$%$ lol
  • Very happy with the Shell buy, we got it for alot less than it would have cost to build it, and it makes sense 1. as it is very close to our horizion facility, 2. we now own an upgrader that we ship to . Personal boots on ground opinion
  • CNQ has too much debt and high cost production, will get crushed with $45 Oil in my view
  • Any thoughts on the Shell aquisition? It's hard to think that they would spend this kind of money at such an uncertain time for oil prices, but I trust this management to know what's best for the company so I'll be buying on any dips...good luck to all.
  • Why did CNQ go so high today??
  • wouldn't you buy shell instead of cnq? lol..
  • Should be up big today with the impressive 4th qtr results!
  • So much for a TOXIC stock - HA!!
  • Chart looks like it wants to bounce back. Technical 85% chance bullish at foxchart. On watch for clear above 31.11.
  • On verge for clear above 31.11. Rated strong buy at helpisland.
  • Very difficult to see CNQ not making a big run north now that it's pulled back this much. insider ownership is now 3.30%. I started receiving notifications from awesomeSTO-CKS the other week and so far they have presented interesting new trade ideas.
  • Canadian oil producers appear to be leading the retreat in E&P stocks.....possible concern over Trump import tax on Canadian oil imports to USA????
  • CNQ has RSI of 38.22 - this really is good for us, as it could be saying that much of the selling is done. I have no idea how lionStackal.erts managed to predict this - lmao I should have listened to them.
  • CNQ inCREASE IN capital expenditure will be great for small cap services firm such as Black Diamond Group, paying 8% dividend with low payout ratio, positive cashflow, acquiring two companies in down turn. BDI.TO will enjoy explosive growth in US infrastructure spend and increase oil and gas investment, and back to its hay day. .
