    Startup and IPO veteran Raj Singh joins Avalara board. Will it be Seattle's next public company?

    Startups veteran Raj Singh co-founded expense reporting software company Concur, took it public and eventually sold the company to SAP for $8.3 billion. Avalara processes millions of tax transactions every day and remits billions of dollars in sales and use tax collections each year. Avalara most recently secured $50 million from investors including Warburg Pincus and raised $46 million through a stock buyback for an aggressive acquisition strategy to increase the company’s tax service offerings.
