Stifel analyst, Tore Svanberg, reiterated his Buy rating on shares of Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ: CRUS) and raised the price target to $73 after hosting management for a series of investor meetings including CFO Thurman Case, VP Cirrus Logic International Allan Hughes and Investor Relations Director Chelsea Heffernan.

The analyst is more positive on the company’s ability to meet its FY18 targets including more moderate revenue growth following three consecutive years of more than 25% revenue growth. Importantly, "there were not any specific updates to its current guidance". FY18 largely depends on unit volumes at Cirrus’ largest customer, especially considering the relative uptake of the new iPhone 8 cycle (weighing Apple’s installed base upgrades and switching rates as key metrics
    to track).

The new PT of $73 is up from $70.

  • Why did CRUS declined today so much even after considering highly anticipated speech from Trump tonight?
Looked like eceryone was simply dumping it!
  • Analysts are very positive to CRUS. EPS growth 82% (2017) and 4% (2018). Rev growth 31% (2017) and 7% (2018). This stock is a strong buy. I bought shares today. Good luck.

  • Keep pulling back I'll be buying outlook weak its going to be a good qtr and then next qtr new iPhone. Plus SAMSUNG wants CRUS I sure thought CRUS would be in the ECHO and Alexis home IOT. Anyway think CRUS looking for a auq? I hope they take a look at SWIR before SWKS makes a bid. LOL SYNA got a bid for 110 turned it down and today its at 57 great deal, my two cents. GO USG, WY,APOG my housing plays with PIR. O re-tail is killing me AEO,GES, and finally almost even well little ahead on SKX. O know anyone whop doesn't eat chicken me either GO SAFM 32% short interest. I'm thinking CRUS board relax I am long and strong CRUS. Might sell some SAFM after earning and double down on CRUS and NO not going to move it. Unless I buy 10% of the float should of at 26 bucks. LOL I think AAPL should buy-out SYNA,SWKS, and CRUS then better margin AAPL all time high list sweet, who KNEW JIM maybe????
  • Why CRUS is down with many positive points in its report and better future.
Debt is decreased by 1/3 and cash went up significantly. Outlook is much higher than a few weeks ago before the report.
  • Apple goes up, Cirrus goes up. It's coming up soon. It always does.
  • Massive beat on top and bottom numbers on ER. Soft range guidance for next quarter with midpoint slightly lower than the consensus. CRUS sets up to beat next earnings.
  • Did CRUS miss?
  • From conference call on earnings today. Jason P. Rhode - Cirrus Logic, Inc.
Well, obviously, we're very dependent on how well our customers products do when they put them on the market, which isn't something that we're able to guess or forecast. And as much prognostication as goes into that around the world, no one else is either.
This time last year no one was ever going buy a phone again, I think was the accurate summary of the sentiment, and then all the last couple of quarters I've been hearing about the super cycle. So we're not wise enough to guess those things. Obviously, if our customers sell more units then we'll do better than that, but we're not able to give annual guidance with any degree of precision that's helpful so we're just trying to give you that color of a place to model it where you're probably in reasonably good shape and then we'll kind of update you as we go.
  • S&P raises PT by $5 to $65 from $60 and recommends as a buy. Increase of $5.
  • Resounding beat in top and bottom numbers.
